Changing Roster Update Password

Postby Moif » Tue Sep 05, 2006 5:23 pm

Hi,

I setup Roster for a friends Guild and left some basic instructions on how to update / change settings.

However, he's changed to roster update password and can't remember what it is. How and where do I go about resetting this for him.

I have access to his tables if that's any help.

Changing Roster Update Password

Hi Moif!

I could be wrong (haven´t the db in front of me) but there is a table called
roster_config or something like this and if you look in it there is the roster_upd_pw... i think this is what you´re looking for...

Check it first before you edit something :)

Alright.. I found roster_upd_pw. The what do I do with this information or what am I supposed to change? None of it looks usable or remotely near what the password could have been.

If you use phpmyadmin go to roster_config table and edit the
password value...

Make sure to select md5 password in the dropdownlist beside the password field...
