At the moment, the roster uses the guild list to populate the db. What if it could optionally use the friends list?
Let's say you create a bogus character, and add in his friend list all the persons (or gnomes or whatever
) you want to have in your roster.
During the install of Wowroster, you would then be asked if you want to use the guild or the friend list. If you choose the friend list, you enter the exact name of the bogus character and shazaam... done
Of course, instead of the guild rank, you would for example have the guild name...
If I remember correctly, the friend list is also in CP.lua, so no big deal there
