Unable to generate signatures ... Error attached ...

Postby Allanon » Wed Sep 27, 2006 8:52 pm

When I go to view a character's signature, it does not display. When I type the url for the signature:

http://www.theforgiven.net/roster/addon ... ?name=Esua

I get the following error

Error - [GD Info]

Line 741: 'img/backg/ironforge.png' is not a valid PNG file

I have confirmed the location of those files and they are correct. What would be causing this?

Unable to generate signatures ... Error attached ...

I fixed the problem ... in a rather strange way. I found a post on here about font issues and double checked my fonts were in the right place (notice my error had nothing to do with fonts). All my fonts were there but then I thought I would change the font settings to "none" - save and change back to the original list (BASTERD1, COURIER, etc), all of a sudden I start getting the font error. Sooooo, I snagged the tar.gz again and extracted the fonts again and now it works. I have no idea why but my guess is, one or more fonts were corrupt from my original install. Extracting another copy seemed to have fixed the problem. I am up and running.

Yeah, that error did seem like you had corrupted files

Glad you fixed it though :thumright:
