[By The Numbers] Simple "class" count addon

Postby vgjunkie » Thu Sep 28, 2006 9:57 pm

I wrote up a small addon that outputs the following data:

- Number of members of each class
- Highest level of each class
- Average level of each class

The mouseover the "Number" wiill show a breakdown of level ranges for each class. The output of this is configurable in that you can set the start (19), range (10), max level (60) and sorting. This makes it scale well without (hopefully) any coding changes and gives you flexibility to say, show a breakdown of every 5 levels starting at level 30. It can be pretty obscure as well, e.g: Level breakdown every 2 levels starting at level 10.

Example can be found at:

http://grunts.roster.vgjunkie.com/addon.php?roster_addon_name=numbers

It can be downloaded by going to http://www.wowroster.net/Downloads/details/id=61.html

This seems similar to GuildStats - http://www.wowroster.net/Forums/viewforum/f=50.html
But a more simple overview

If you do upload it, let me know and I'll make your own section

I submitted it to the downloads section. I definately got the idea from the GuildStats mod, but looking at that code, it just wasn't flexible enough for me (and had a ton of DB calls!). I shorted the db calls to 1 main and 1 per class. Simple yet flexible I hope :)

When I mouse over classes..there is no 60 - 69 listing..there is 2 level 60 listings.. Will there be a fix to this anytime soon?

open the: conf.php

change line 21 from:
Code: Select all
$addon_conf['numbers']['maxLevel'] = 60; // Current Maximum Obtainable level

to
Code: Select all
$addon_conf['numbers']['maxLevel'] = 70; // Current Maximum Obtainable level
