unable to display signatures or avatars after host change

Postby sileed » Thu Oct 05, 2006 12:13 am

Hi there.

My settings:

php v 5.1.1, safe mode - OFF
mysql v 5.0.24
GD Status ON
PNG support - ON
FreeType Support - YES
Freetype Linkage - with Freetype

Set character page to display signature just gives me the words "signature for <character name> eg: http://www.inkredible.ca/php/char.php?n ... ullcrusher

Going directly to the sig.php file I get : (could not find/open font)
http://www.inkredible.ca/php/addons/sig ... ame=Sileed

The fonts are indeed there, and I deleted them and re-uploaded them.
Siggen settings for fonts directory has not been changed (shows fonts/ )

I used to host Roster 1.7.0 myself and it worked great. I recently re-downloaded Roster and setup a fresh DB with an actual host (brinkster.com - I think Mordon uses them as well)
Everything else in Roster works great except siggen...

I just need a frsh set of eyes to look at this and possibly tell me what's not check off, or what is missing - I'm sure it's something weird..
Thanks

Go into siggen config, and select new fonts for each font selection, then change them back

unable to display signatures or avatars after host change

No dice.. :(

I tried a few things actually.

first I changed them all to None, cause I saw that in another post, saved my settings, even went so far as to logout, logged back in and changed them back,saved- still no signatures.

so then I changed them all to "visitor" font (cause it was last on the list), save my settings, tried a preview - nothing, changed them back; saved, tried a preview - still no signatures.

I'm open to other suggestions. I'm willing to share my pwd with a forum mod if they'd like to login themselves and give it a whirl/take a peek around.

Thanks

I am also trying to host SigGen on a brinkster account... and have the same error you specify.

Depending on which site you read (I've read a few trying to see if I could get this fixed!) it's a bug in PHP (but I think that was specific to a v4) or that the path specified for the font should be absolute.

In SigGen v0.1.10, the path is absolute and it has been since v0.1.8 I believe

So I see! :)

The line it fails on is using the function imageTTFBBox (line 369)

$txtsize = @imageTTFBBox( $size,0,$font,$text )

I have tried a test script using this function - which worked.

I have tried replacing $font with a full path and font name - which didn't work.

Now I'm totally confused.
