UniUploader todo list

How about being able to select different lua files per URL? That way I can upload my census data to warcraftrealms but not to my roster sites.

While I can see the usefulness of this option, in your particular situation there's no harm in uploading your census data to the rosters also... it will simply toss out the files that it doesn't know what to do with.

UniUploader todo list

Postby ScratchMonkey » Fri Jul 07, 2006 11:38 pm

I'm actually thinking of switching to curl to do my uploads. Then I can just use a batch file to send the right files to each place. But then, I don't mind using a command line. ;)

The hassle with the census data is the sheer size of it. I don't want to upload it 3 times, when 2 locations will just throw it away, and when I have to shove the data up the slow side of my connection.

The other solution is to use 2 or 3 UU profiles, with a separate profile for the census.

I would have implemented this long ago if it werent hard

at this point it would almost be easier to start from scratch to enable the JUU uploading style

Yep, while the concept is easy, the UI is hard.

UniUploader todo list

ive been conteplating writing UU Version 3

It would include a lot of the functions which already exist in UU, except the program as a whole would be better focused, and more solid than Version 2 It would have all reasonable feature requests implemented.

Given the state of mods and the flux with which they operate..

A forced nuke of the old addon folder IE \interface\addons\ctraidassist before installing the new version would be REALLY handy..

In addition.. A Uniadmin/UU combo that would enable removal of no longer required mods would really be nice too !

For example we used groupcalendar and pushed it out through UU for a bit.. then retired it.. under current setup theres no way for me to flag it as doa and have the UU remove the old addon..

though these would both require a UU setting so that users could decide to keep old mods if they really really wanted to!

good suggestion, ill put this on the todo list.

On 8/13/06, Dennis <mrme73@gmail.com> wrote:

I like the auto-launch wow option on UU but, I don't use it. I use the "-console" extension when I play, but the options you provided don't support it. Merely suggesting that you add a "Extension" option so advanced users can execute wow with the extensions of their choosing.

Thanks,

What would it take to make a slightly modified version of UniUploader to allow the user to specify any file to be uploaded other than lua files from WoW. There are other Games out there that could benefit from this utility. If Users could specify any file to upload and the site. Then any time that file is updated it will be updated on the site. Just a suggestion. I would prefer to not have to resort to using cUrl. I like the UniUploader functionality but would like a sort of extended version providing this functionality. Thanks

ok, i have made my own version of it. i have changed the seperator from "=" to "#". That looks quick and dirty, but it should work on most servers.

i changed the uu version to 2.4.1(.1) and attached it.

for uniadmin u need to change the interface.php to use "#" instead of "=":

Line 36: echo "LOGO".$row['logo_num']."#".$row['download_url']."|";
Line 42: echo $row['set_name']."#".$row['set_value']."|";

that works for me.
