Can you try it again and post a screenshot of what you see and a link to your site.

ok, here is the latest.

"Could not find guild in database. Please update members first."

It says that in the update log, but I know i have the name spelled correct.

Came across the same problem, the difference is guild was uploaded, you can look through it if you press button "By class", but if you press "Roster" then you get a message "Could not find guild: 'XXX' for server 'YYY'".

I'm getting similar problems to the original post, I've followed the instructions on the Upload Guide posted a couple of posts up, and it just doesn't work, the upload log is empty, I copied and pasted the servername and guildname from my CharacterProfiler.lua before I uploaded. I think I've covered all the answers I found on my skim read of other people's problems with uploading :p

What is the name of your guild? Are there any special characters in it?

If you're doing an entire guild update you need to be 100% positive you're typing your password in properly on the update page. I don't think it presents any errors if you don't type it in properly.

the guild's Cirtius Altius Fortius, so no, no special chars at all, and I've tried about 5 times, so I don't think it's a mistype

I thought I was the only one having this problem, glad to read that I am not, any help in solving this issue would be appreciated.

I am using http://www.carnageservers.net/

I had a few problems in the p[ast with images showing up but not the roster and now that I have switched over to 1.7 I can not upload my guild at all.

I have had no problems with the WOW Roster in the past for the exception of images not showing up but now its the opposite way around, I have the images but I am unable to update the roster or for that matter even load it up.

I am using www.carnageserver.net/ for my host
Operating system: Linux , Apache version: 1.3.36 (Unix), PHP version: 5.1.4 , MySQL version: 5.0.21-standard

I have folowed your instructions in the post: www.wowroster.net/inde...topic&t=61 and still nothing is working, any help you can give me with this matter would be appreciated.

Fair enough, I just asked because I wondered whether it was an issue with lycos :)

Ok, I just installed to another host and it works, I guess I have to assume it was an issue with lycos (they're running an oldish mysql version so that might be it I guess, I had a quick look at the disabled php functions and none of them should have stopped it working as far as I can tell...I'm not much good with php though, so meh ;P )

I have the blank update problem. My Guild name does have a special character in it. "The Hornéd Fist". The name looks right within the config and within the MySQL db and the lua file. I am certain that the guild profiler has been installed and the data is in the lua file.

Is there an easy way to get the page to log more information (ie a debug mode)?

The only output I get is under the SQL queries (if I expand it) where I see "SELECT `config_name`, `config_value` FROM `thfRoster_config` ORDER BY `id` ASC;"

I fixed it for myself. look out for server config issues.
If you have open_basedir enabled, ensure you edit the upload_tmp_dir in your php.ini to be under the basedir.

basically my file was not being accepted when it was uploaded. so it never got processed.
