Nuke Port 1.7 Version 2

Postby tonk » Tue Jul 04, 2006 4:58 pm

I have already installed Roster Version 1.7. With the old roster nuke port I was able to in the past just change the config to use use the database from the full version. Is there a way i can just drop roster nuked v2 into my mods directory and use my current db or do i have to run the install script and start fresh?

I have more or less the same problem.
I already had installed the 1.6 Version of the integrated Roster Version.

So I downloaded the 1.7 Version 2, overwrote the whole files and now, when I try to enter the Roster Site, I get the following error Message:

Detected invalid access to this file!

Please help!

Or is there an updated Version available?

@Tonk:
You don't nessessarily have to reinstall fresh, though the base url for roster is stored in the database now and is setup when you install. The default path of /roster/ will not work for the integrated nuke module. Can you link me to the roster, or your website?

@Darkbones:
You HAVE to run the update.php... there are some major changes between how Roster 1.6 and Roster 1.7 deal with configuration data.

I really would like to, but when I open the root/modules/roster/update.php, there comes the message:

You can't access this file directly...

thanks in advance

I'm going to look over the install/update stuff now that I actually know what's wrong. I lost all of my error reports when wowroster.net went down. :(

While idealy if the upgrade.php is working correctly, you should lose no data if upgrading from roster 1.6, I still suggest making a backup of your database.
