Ability to second sort by name when main sort is guild rank

Postby Orolmy » Wed Nov 08, 2006 3:26 pm

What do I need to change in memberlist.php so that when I sort by anything other than by Name, the list is sorted FULLY alphabetically, rather than alphabetically within level order, and would anyone else prefer if this was a config option ?

EG:
A_Main_01 Warrior Level 60 Veteran ....
A_Main_02 Warrior Level 59 Veteran ....
A_Main_03 Warrior Level 60 Veteran ....
A_Main_04 Warrior Level 58 Veteran ....

Instead of:
A_Main_01 Warrior Level 60 Veteran ....
A_Main_03 Warrior Level 60 Veteran ....
A_Main_02 Warrior Level 59 Veteran ....
A_Main_04 Warrior Level 58 Veteran ....

In roster 1.8, there is more sort control. You can select up to 4 columns to sort on, after that there's always sorted by level descending and name ascending. Sorting happens clientside.

If you want to edit 1.7.x to show different sort behaviour, you need to edit the field definitions in index.php. A format description is in memberslist.php
I <3 /bin/bash
