Use your imagination...

Postby zanix » Sun Aug 13, 2006 11:45 am

That line is weird, are you sure it's not in any of your images?
Seems like it *could* be the character image...

As for the transparentcy
I'm planning on making the background image be the first "layer" of the image...this *should* honor the transparentcy in the background image...maybe

Still working on SigGen 1.0.0

Absolutely positive. I've checked and double-checked each of the image components and there's nothing there. It appears to have something to do with the transparency.

When I remove everything from the "image layer order" box in the config, the transparent GIF (with unfilled background) has the 1px wide black line drawn down the lefthand side.

When I disable everything that SigGen can do (no images, no text, no background), I get a transparent GIF with a 1px wide white line drawn down the lefthand side.

When I remove my change and disable everything in SigGen like above and leave the background unfilled, I get a completely black signature.

Weird.

Probably a more sensible way of doing it. I'm just trying to get it to work with what I've got now. Aside from the mysterious black line being drawn, my two-line change seems to work great.

You may not want to spill the beans yet, but any word on whether or not the PvPLog stats will be available to SigGen in the 1.0 or near-future release? I doubt I'm going to make any progress on it on my own, but it's where I'll be directing my attention next, since it's the feature my guildies request the most. (They see the signatures as useless without it. )

I was just curious if any of you guys who have modded and made custom signatures for your guilds might be interested in sharing the backgrounds for anyone else? Mostly, the graphically impaired like myself! :)

I know there have been some extremely creative ones done in this thread (and some on the old forums) so if anyone would be willing to share the blank image (without the text/logo placements) I think it'd be really cool until we have the ability to share entire themes!

I know I could place the items in an appropriate place if I had a background image template to play with. So if anyone wants to, or maybe even make some new ones for everyone to use, let me know in a PM or in this thread.

Anything you guys are willing to do is much appreciated (even if it's just tips on how to do the borders / which programs you guys used, etc..!)

Thanks :)

Mine (as witnessed below) was designed to match the layout of our website itself (sok.org) but there is quite a lot of things you can work with for siggen.

I can do requests too. lol

Inspired by kaosulv's design, we came up with the following:

The dragon colour changes depending on the rank of the character.

Use your imagination...

Postby Suirion » Mon Jan 15, 2007 10:28 pm

I've been working on my guild's SigGen stuff diligently to make something very nice and dynamic for them... and still they complain. Nobody does anything to help, but they can bitch up a storm, even when they're happy. So, last night I was inspired to create a new series of Signatures, which my guild is now stuck with.

I thought I'd share my cutting-edge designs with the community.
