my problem is very simple but i dont know it,...

I´ve installed roster171 on my webserver. php is all right and mysql too but where i have to insert the host and user and password from the db ?
The roster cant know it, if i dont insert it anywhere like conf.php or install.php
So he tells my always: MySQL Module: Available: No Required: Yes
but its allready there - the db is installed and working

I hope my problem is clear?

If the installer tells you mysql isn't installed then either it isn't or it's not linked to php correctly. If mysql is installed and linked to php correctly the installer will pop up a some input fields for database host/user/pass/name/prefix.

How does the roster known that i have a db ?

Roster uses a php function to check for the mysql extension
extension_loaded('mysql')

You have to have the extension enabled in php for mysql

OK, here is the deal. Roster installed just fine, but my webhosting provider requires me to use "mysql" instead of "localhost" for my $db_host. Roster would not install until I changed this option from "localhost" in the setup.
Now when I try to tun the "admin.php" from my web browser it gives me this error:

settings.php: line[121]
Could not connect to database "roster"
MySQL said:
1045: Access denied for user 'daniel'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

Shouldn't the user read daniel@mysql? This seems to me the same reason it would not install until I changed my $db_host.....

Open conf.php in a text editor and see if it is set to localhost still
