Been using this for a couple of years. I know how to update my character and guild data. Please dont point me to that post. Please take the time to answer and not point me to a post that has no answer for my issue in it. I titled this post as such so that anyone using the search feature may find it. Being I have searched for over an hour with no luck.



Fresh install of 1.7.2. New database. New user for database...

I get this error before I upload anything: (XXXX i put in place of my guild/server)

You need to load your guild first and make sure you finished configuration

I then go to update and update my guild I get this error:

* Did not accept GuildProfiler.lua

I then try to upload my character and this is the ONLY message in the update field:

* Parsed CharacterProfiler in 0.21 seconds

thats it no other list like usual.

I have gone through the config and verified everything is right. What is messed up?

I apologize for the blunt language. I got up early this morning to get this working and after a couple of hours of pulling out my hair I am now bald. My comments are caused by bleeding scalp syndrome...

- Did you save your guild data ingame?
- Are you sure you're using the right guildname?
- Are you entering the right password?

And you never need to upload guildprofiler.lua, only characterprofiler.lua

I am trying everything atm because I am in debugout mode.

I just reinstalled everything from scratch and it is working. Sorry I cant tell you what I did. I wish I could tell you what I changed for further reference

the guildprofiler.lua file contains nothing of use. To update the guild information upload the characterprofiler.lua file AND supply the roster password.

I have the roster password entered in one of the fields in my uniuploader, so everytime my uniploader sends my character profile it also does a guild update.

Okay, I think I figured out the problem... when you try to load the CharacterProfiler.lua, it tries to match your Guild Name and Server Name with the database. However, upon a fresh install, there is no Guild Name or Server Name to speak of, so it ignores the upload.

Before you try to upload your guild information, go to...
Roster Config > Guild Config
... and enter your Guild Name and Server Name (case sensitive, I would assume).

That's what worked for me, anyway.

Id like to continue this topic with out hijacking it... Because i feel there might be an issue with this.

Ive done it all, fresh install of 1.7.2, fresh install of rpgo-CharacterProfiler_2.0.2,
Ive gone throgh the wiki,
checked the names under roster config and compared them to what the .lua file says using a text editor...spellings are the same...



Still no match for some reason. I eve reinstalled rpgo-CharacterProfiler_2.0.2 and deleted all the .lua's from the /add on's and from the /saved variables.


Shoot me an idea, ill give it a shot

I just downloaded guild profiler and updated it. now its better but still getting an error involving guild:
