Manual Unistall, How?

Postby macross33 » Wed Jan 24, 2007 8:34 am

I screwed up the installation of this module, but now when I got to uninstall it I get errors. I have tried a few things, but non have worked. Anyone know how I can remove this if the uninstall link doesn't function?

Using phpmyadmin (or something similar)

Drop all tables with 'cms_wowroster_roster_' (these tables names depend on what prefix you gave DF)

Go to the 'cms_admins' table and drop the field 'radminwowrosterdf'

Go to the 'cms_modules' and drop the row where title = 'wowrosterdf'
Read the Forum Rules, the WiKi, and Search before posting!

How did you mess up the install? I'm curious since dragonfly pretty much does everything for you....

Found the admin entry and droped it, didn't see anything in modules, nor any tables with wowroster. This might be due to the fact that the install didn't finish 100 percent.

For some reason I got some errors (I no longer know which ones) when I installed it. It seemed to work only partially so I disabled it for a week or so. I then went back and couldn't figure out why it was not functioning as intended and decided to check out the files in the install package a little further.

After reading the install instructions in the text file of the package I concluded it might be that I installed it incorrectly (looking back I think those instructions might be for the normal non DF install). The uninstall link only errored when I tried to use it, so my next step was to just try re-uploading the install files....

Needless to say the whole farging thing broke at that point. Then I came here to ask for help. It seems the current version no longer works with the newest wow patch, so now I am not even going to try again until that is resolved (or perhaps I am reading out dated info...)

You asked.......

Unfortunately it's not outdated.
