I plan on doing something similar, a very extensive integration, really just haven't found the time, and it's going to be a bit more complicated than usual because it's not just one guild, it's 12...

Okay, well let's go with what you said and keep them seperate

Plus it makes it easier that way... if you integrate the two that closely, and you want to remove or reinstall the roster, keeping them seperate means I can blow one away and not have it affect the other...as much.

Now onto my other suggestions. After rereading the topic, I think perhaps what I had in mind is beyond the scope of this forum, but I think it would be a grand task to undertake. Anyone up for the challenge?

Integrate WoWRoster with the phpBB2 discussion board, what I'd like to see:

1.) Integrate the roster memberlist to automatically create usernames and logins for phpBB2. Thus, you become a member of the discussion board when you are uploaded into the WoWroster table.

2.) Autocreate and manage Forum Usergroups based upon the Guild Rank Titles.

3.) Display and integrate the WoWRoster information into the phpBB forum posts and profile.

4.) Try to keep it modular, over the top of the phpBB2 sytem. In other words, if you need to upgrade or reinstall, you don't need to reintegrate them together again (or with the least amount of work possible.)

I think if we can do this, then we'll have one kickass Guild website

All you said can be done kaleyn, but I really dont have the time nowadays. Maybe in some future release, but not under this mod title.

All these changes requiere a lot of planification, organization and time.
If in the next month everything goes ok for my exams, I may start codding it, but for now, this litttle mod is all I can do.

So in this new version you can set it to use the persons roster avatar? IF so this is just what im looking for. I had modified my roster back in the 1.6.0 day's to do that but broke it when I upgraded and am to lazzy to do it again. Plus I don't remember really everthing I did to get this to work since it was me and another peroson that did it. He's not around anymore anyway to help.

This is a cool sounding mod. I would like to see it use rosters siggen images and also show users professions with tooltips of lv and links back to the users recipe list in roster.

lol, the link was planned for the current release, but complete forgot about it.
The tooltip sounds great (this is what I mean when I say feedback is important). I think this could take more time, but I can give it a try.

right the tooltip should be easy due to most people using item stats with there forums so the overlib.js is already included in the header. here is a pic of an over all idea/look for this hack. For the images that you made for this mod/hack please make them into your siggen as a character pack and output the saved variables for everyone else to use as well for there siggen and forums.

I'm studing very hard now, but this project is alive. As soon as I get some free time I'll add the features you have asked.
