recipes support?

Postby Striper » Thu Jul 13, 2006 1:51 pm

this addon is delivered with the roster 1.7, but no support forum is available... there are localisation problems when people in the same guild use different client locales...

something like
Code: Select all
//Multilanguage support
$addon_conf['itemsets']['multilanguage'] = 1

from the ItemSets Addon would greatly improve it!

since it ships with Roster, perhaps you should post it in the Roster help forum and not third party ADD ON Mods which is for mods that did NOT ship with Roster 1.7.

Hope this helps

Not so sure about that. Just because it ships with Roster doesn't meant that it's not a 3rd party addon. I think it just means that it has the devs' blessings.

Alas, I can't answer the question because not only am I the only person using either of my roster installs, but I don't know any languages other than my native tongue. :)

Correct, these addons are included with roster because they were in a mostly finished state

Made By and Reputation were originally coded by "Cybrey" back in the Roster 1.5 days
When 1.6.0 we made the addons framework and these were converted to addons and included with roster to encourage others to make addons in the framework

When 1.7 was released, we just updated them to work with the new version, Zeryl did a great job in fixing the rep addon to sort correctly...

But they are addons, the dev team will only touch them to make sure they will still function in roster

so, are we further discussing this here or are you going to create a recipes forum in the 3rd Party Addons area?

i started a similar topic for the reputation addon in the old forum i think.

the "offical" reply was that these addons are not intended to work multilingual.

i would try making the reputationaddon multilingual but i only have little time right now. in my opinion the reputationaddon is a good chance to learn how the roster is using the wordings-variables. if you want to try yourself i could provide you with the translations i have untill now.

making the recipt-addon work with multiple languages must be a huge work on creating the locallization-files because somehow the roster must know which is the recipt pendant in the other language
