Hi everyone.

Since yesterday Roster 1.7.3 is running in our website but there is a big problem: word or names with "Sonderzeichen" (sorry, I don't know the english word) are not shown correct.

For example:
- "Jäger" (Hunter) looks like "Jäger" and there ist no icon for this class.
- Character "Rêmâtâr" is "Rêmâtâr", "Rübenräuber" is "Rübenräuber" ...

And there is another little problem: between the motd and the menu there some signs: "".

- first I made an upgrade from 1.7.2 to 1.7.3
- because of the problems I made a fresh install but the problems are still there

How can I fix it?

Did you edit your localization files?

I ask this because the page character encoding is set to ISO-8859-1 and it should be UTF-8 and editing your localization file, you may have overwritten the charset variable

In "deDE.php" I only chanced the text for "Updating Instructions".

I did the same while using 1.7.2 and there had been no problem.

I have put a new deDE.php on the server.
Now I can the see the hunter-icon but the other problems are still there.

You have a roster addon that has a bad file
Maybe that is messing up your roster

Remove the addons folder, or copy it and remove it

Well, I deleted all addons and re-installed them.
All words are okay and I can see ever icon...

BUT now I can't see the motd-icon anymore and I can't make any changes using the admin menu because when pressing the button "save settings" the system asks me for the adminpassword everytime and nothing is changed.

And siggen doesn't work anymore in the characterdetails.

I'll delete every file and the database and make a fresh install of roster and all addons. I hope this will help.
