Realmstatus not working

Hi, I'm kind of new to creating sites and HTML, but I successfully installed the Roster to a site and its an amazing tool!!

Just I can't figure out why my Realmstatus icon isn't displaying the correct stat us of my server. It keeps showing up as the question mark and No Status. I did a bit of looking over some things, and I wound up in the SQL server and the table for the Realmstatus info. I looked in the values and found that there is nothing there!! Is there supposed to be values? If so, I'm thinking something isn't communicating with the SQL server or the Blizz's status page. If the values in the table aren't supposed to be filled in, then I got no idea. Help!! (/cry)

Make sure you set the realmstatus url to your area
This is set in Roster Config
US or EU

Just a thought, but when I set my roster up it was also not showing the realmstatus correctly. The problem was that the realm name, while shown on almost every related site as "Wildhammer", needed to be written as "WildHammer". Notice the change in caps. Not sure what realm you are on, but anything is worth a try.

I am in a US server and it is set to the US server setting, and I am in Garithos, and the caps are fine. Its a PvP server, and I have the correct setting in there too.

Still nada.

I'm thinking that my server can't connect to an outside website aka Blizzards Status page. Problem is, is that I don't know how to check to see if it can communicate or not. My server host is from www.byethost.com. Hope this helps a bit.

I kinda thought of this when the values in the tables of my SQL database weren't filled in for Realmstatus.

It sounds like you might have bigger problems if the DB isn't getting updated. Have you tried manually entering the RealmName in your DB?

Well see that's whats weird. I tried that, but still nothing. Maybe the php is not communicating with the SQL? I didn't change anything in those files....

Well it has to be communicating with the SQL, because the rest of the stuff works fine! Just not the Realmstatus..

Well here ill attach my SQL realmstatus table. Is there supposed to be any values in Default??

allow_url_fopen Off

Realmstatus defaults to using curl, but that isn't enabled wither

Your web server doesn't allow remote data connections
This is why realmstatus does not work

Hi,

My realmstatus does not show up a lot of the time.
The various page of the roster just sit with the status bar showing

Code: Select all: (1 item remaining) Waiting for http://knightsofold.eu/roster/.........

The ......... depends on the page being loaded.
Every now and then it does display. Is this just a slow connection to get status from Blizzard?

Any help/ideas would be appreciated.

realm status is broken bacause its broken on blizzards page keep checken there page and the status will return in a cuple of days

I was having similar problems. I disabled realm status and voila no more laggy roster.

BTW, easiest way to disable is rename realmstatus.php to realmstatus.php.bak (or whatever)
