No it is even not "ok"... We WANT the LOD. Because some guildies have problems without lod (conflicts).

Well then: how 'bout you repack the addon and call that file ".batc"?

lod.bat is used only ONCE anyhow...

Alternatively you could pack the lod-ified addons instead of the single-pack-and-I-let-my-guildmates-unpack.

Being back after a while on this forum, I get the feeling this particular concerns ends in flamewar "what's more inherently secure?". As a bottomline, extensions are not that secure (whether whitelist or blacklist). But MORE security is still better than NO security. And yes, it's true, security reduces functionality, it's a treadeoff. Meaning everyone will have a different appreciation. I can agree to the point that it would be more convenient to have that list selectable instead of having to recompile things.

I tried to be as rationale as possible here. Point is to make things go forward. I hope this helps along that line.
