draenei & french

Postby sturmy » Wed Mar 14, 2007 6:57 am

I run a mixed roster of frFR ane enUS clients, however none of the draenei character get a background and character image appropriate to their race.
There are no custom image in place for those characters, .2.4 installed as upgrade from .2.3 which was a "wipe clean & install anew".

Anyone else with that issue?

Check the localization.php file in siggen and check if the frFR locale is correct

draenei *should* be draeneï but I miss a UTF-8 converter to get the right 2 letter sequence. Tried \195\175 to no success in localization.php.

Hmm, i simply replaced line 124 of localization.php
Code: Select all
$siggen_translate['frFR']['Draenei']     = 'Draenei';

by
Code: Select all
$siggen_translate['frFR']['Draeneï']     = 'Draenei';

and it seems to work all fine ^^

For example : Page of a draenei alt

This last tip works very well.

Using Wordpad (and not notepad) to edit file :) (yes I know, shame on me)
