Multi Guild / guildless / public ability has come to Roster!

Does this mean I could set up a sub web for each of my guild members with the public ability and let them each member have a guildless site while I still maintain the primary guild site?

The purpose would be to maintain a true guild site while under their guildless sub webs they could view their characters and their own private guildbanks?

ie... www. domain.tld for guild - normal guildbanks
name.domain.tld for sub webs - private guildbanks

I think CatGB is being converted to work for single characters.
Subdomains are not supported by roster itself. I don't think you can configure it to work, but I'm not too well versed with server tech. You're welcome to try.

I've got a normal Roster working under a Subdomain fine and have had no problems what so ever.

I do also, works perfectly.

wowRoster works fine under subdomains, I think the original question was can wowRoster setup a new subdomain for each guild.

eg:
MainGuild.example.com
OtherGuild.example.com
MoreGuilds.example.com

So, no, wowRoster cannot create subdomains for your guilds.

Malcolm: That's what I'm understanding too. It's definitely not possible out of the box.
However, roster 1.8 does offer a system similar to LEO linking in dragonfly. The functions for this, both creating and resolving the alternate links, are in a separate file. It may well be possible to point a bunch of subdomains to the same server directory, put roster in that directory, and change the alternate link creator/resolver to use and interpret the subdomains.

Are they the same as for 1.7.3?
It would be great to get some information.
So I could do the update (if needed) on the server in the run-up of the release.

Yes, they are the same, with the exception that mysql 4.1+ is defiantly required for 1.8

I'd settle for mysql 4.1+ being definitely required, not defiantly.

I'm not sure about the PHP, but having the latest php4/php5 won't hurt your server security so go bug your host if you're not up to date. Same for the mysql really. They dropped support on everything before mysql 5.0 for a reason.

I know you're hard at work on 1.8, but is it possible you could spend 1 or 2 minutes to update the projects tasks? That way people can see that there is progress
Also, do you have "any" kind of timeframe for a release? On 22. may you wrote:

waow mysql 4.1+
this makes it impossible for me to upgrade without installing it on another sql machine, cause i have an application incompatle with 4.1+
