I copied out the guild name and server from the file CharacterProfiler...but
when uploading I get an error saying*Error while parsing CharacterProfiler after 0 seconds*


ahhhhhh...

It seems that your not doing a step.

after you config your roster *guild name and server*

you also want to make sure that you have installed the mods:
Characterprofiler
Guildprofiler

load your wow and and goto the guild and save :should be button at the top
goto your bank and open all your stuff. *professions,bank,bags,ect..*
then goto your char screen and click on the save button at top.
(you may want to backup and delete the characterprofiler.lua file first if you had one)
logout of wow *sorry if you already know all of this*

login to your wowroster
update your profile
add link to the characterprofiler.lua
put in admin password or password you set to update with
save
If everything is good it a few secs you will be ready.


Hope that works, dont meant to jump in to early here, i just went through alot of this and its fresh in my mind.

I've been having the same problem too. Check as much of WoWRoster as I could dig through (since 3 this morning, it's almost 12 now) and still no luck. I found that there is a mismatch from the a /lib file to what my site has (version 603 versus 609 that rosterdiag shows for wowdb.php) I cleared my saved vars, even deleted the files completely (.bak too) and still same parsing error. Is there a way to upload the guildprofiler.lua file through UniUploader, and would that make a difference?

I just tried that too, before I finished this post, in advanced mode and the server rejected it. I have just under a meg char fileand nothing seems to be working.

you can try and turn off any quest addons you have as thay may stop the upload it worked for me

The error for this is misleading (and has been changed for 1.. Actually, this error means the script failed to access the uploaded file. Usually, this is caused by safe mode or open_basedir restrictions.

check in php.ini
upload_max_filesize
and compare with your CharacterProfiler.lua file size.

I get the same error message too. Mine is cured by deleting the .lua files and starting again, and ends up having to be done at least once each week.

I know mine is caused by the upload file being too large and I have spent a good few days looking through the files to see if I can find a way to increase the maximum upload size, but haven't had much luck yet.

Does anyone already know how to do this and have a few tips for me to save me many days work?

You can enlarge the max. size in the php.ini file. However, if you're in a shared hosting environment, you will not be able to view the file, let alone edit it.

jUU will upload the file in pieces, allowing you to bypass the upload size restriction.

IM having trouble with the Roster, when i upload the Guildprofiler. I get this message

Did not accept GuildProfiler.lua

I'm having exactly the same problem.

I downloaded the latest code.

Did a fresh install (well 4 or 5 of them). Deleted all existing lua files re-exported from WOW (10 or 12 times). Everytime with the same results. Even tried the patch to send the file to a new folder under the roster folder. Folder permissions are set to RWE.

Please help.

You never upload that file. Only CharacterProfiler.lua.

Im having some problem to with uploading CharacterProfiler.lua .. after the upload is done it displays that it ignores my server.

Looks like you misspelled the name in config.
