Postby Playakilla » Sat Jun 09, 2007 12:49 pm

Hello,
And very nice module you guys have going here.
First off my website is:

Now the first issue:
Siggen is not saving the signatures , on update or anything.
The sig folder is 777.
Any clue as to why they will not save?

Second issue:
Using dragonfly cms,
When i go to try and link the signature in my profile it doesnt come up at all, or just gives the link and viewing image etc giving me nothing.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
I have read around the forums and couldnt find anything to help as well have tryed things to help, i have the settings correct as well as i have the folders ava n sig at 777?
Is there something im missing:

Help with WoWrosterDF Siggen - 2 Questions

Unfortunatly DF does not allow direct access to files with in the module directory so this is the reason for the httpdocs/saved directory. To get siggen to save the images your saved location needs to be set to
%r%../../saved/

the %r% tells siggen to save in the roster directory then we tellin to go back 2 directorys to the saved directory. Then once you have the images saved the path to link in the forums would be
http://domain_name.com/saved/{image_name}

Thank you for the help.
Unfornatly when i try to add the
%r%../../saved to the saved location it disables the saved sig ordeal.
and trys to make the directory as you see below.

/home/vol1/phpnet.us/p/playakilla/bht.isgreat.org/htdocs/modules/WoWRosterDF/addons/siggen/%r%../../saved

Now with it being
Save Image Functions Disabled
I cannot change anything and all the saved parts are gone?

Not sure why but , i cant even hit the go back button to reedit :(

Ok I had to create the folder manuelly but it needed to be in the siggen folder still. any thing else we can try?

Maybe the Orginal path that is set in DB or the Siggen file to save is directing everything to the siggen folder?
Anyway or an we change a line to make it hit the saved flder?

I was looking at this last night myself.

Here is what I have found out...

We're suppose to be upgrading SigGen from the version packaged with DFRoster. However, I am not sure if it is compatible with DFRoster without a specific port to it. I am waiting on an answer back on this question.

In addition to that, I noticed when I was editing index.php and siggen.php last night that the coding for your path was rooted fairly hardcore... nothing relative about it. The %r% and/or %s% that we are told to use, doesn't appear to be coded into any sort of parameter definition. As such, Roster, DFRoster and SigGen -- not to mention my browser -- simply read %r% as being part of the web address... nothing more then that.

Hmm, maybe DF is altering the code for the path when you save the options
I'll look into this when I have some time

Help with WoWrosterDF Siggen - 2 Questions

Postby Bishop » Wed Jun 27, 2007 10:48 am

Well, the things that I mentioned, only pertain, in this instance, to the SigGen that is bundled with DFRoster -- not 0.2.6. The 0.2.6 problem that I am facing, is different in nature. I am pretty sure that I have DFRoster set up fine with Dragonfly, as I am able to use them both fairly flawlessly (there are occasional bugs, and I am thinking of setting up another DF, DFRoster and SigGen setup on my server, to test it out, and see if I just plain screwed up somewhere), but it is entirely possible that I made a mistake somewhere in setting it up. In truth, the only way for anyone to be sure, is to take Dragonfly, DFRoster, and SigGen, and do a clean install, noting every step they take, to see if something was done incorrectly (assuming it works fine), or else see if it does not work properly, to see (hopefully) where the problem lies.
