Postby musicloveraalst » Tue Sep 18, 2007 5:03 pm

I am using the latest beta and for some strange reason I can't update roster when I am using php 5.x

Parsing files

Error while parsing CharacterProfiler after 0 seconds
[] does not exist or is not readable by PHP

(this is the error) but when I use php 4.x setting on my server everything works perfect ! But I only have 1 problem if I change my php setting into 4.X my forum stops working saying the php version is 2 low ...

Unable to Update Profiles

Postby PleegWat » Tue Sep 18, 2007 5:17 pm

That's strange. Looks like the $_FILES[$i]['tmp_name'] attribute isn't being set, or is empty.

This isn't a php5 issue as such, since my test install is php5 and it's working fine there. Are you getting any notices in the bottom of the page, above the php box?

Unable to Update Profiles

Postby Theophilius » Thu Nov 29, 2007 9:27 am

Got the same problem tonight with 1486.

After some investigations, I have found that my characterprofiler.lua was larger than the upload_max_filesize of 2M allowed by my php config.

So, the answer could be diet for the character profiler file or enlarge your php upload_max_filesize ;)

Confirmed. This is a php file upload max size issue. I fixed this on my 1486 version (as well as my old 1.7.3 version) by modifying the php value for the virtual host in the apache config.

Looks like the file size blew out a little when the Guild vault info was added to CharacterProfiler.
