When i update my characters, a large part of my recipes are not showing. It seems to do this because ingame the categories have changed. I have f.i. two 'cloth' categories in tailoring, but only the category with the types of cloth (shadowcloth, etc.) show on WoWRoster and not the cloth category with the different items i can make.

Any idea how i can fix this?

Open your CharacterProfile.lua file in the WTF folder with a text editor and see if all your skills are listed for your character

Sounds like a CP limitation.

I checked the .lua and the recipes are in there. I also checked the database, and they are not in there. So it seems to go wrong with the upload.

Any ideas?

Ah, i was going to add the .lua i have on my laptop when i noticed a difference in size. After checking, this one does not include those recipes! It turns out i checked my .lua on my home computer, which is fine, but uploaded the one on my laptop, without the recipes, to the roster.

I'll retry scanning my character and uploading it again. It might have been just a weird glitch or incomplete scan afterall. I'll post here to let you know if it worked.

Several of us are missing recipes it seems from the new CP - as a leatherworker I'm presently missing ALL Leather-based recipes, while everything else shows.

RPGOutfitter has made no statements on it yet, but it's confirmed on two of my computers that after the CP upgrade, the recipes bug, and don't get exported to the LUA.

So, it's a CP problem, not a Roster one.

Yes, i can confirm it's CP and not Roster. My CP file at home turned out to be an older version of CP, which is complete, but new files made with the new CP omit a lot of my recipes. Moving my attention to the CP boards now

The problem could be one level up: the build in LUA interpreter doesn't expose (or has access to) some internal arrays, so CP never is able to scan (under full control of WoW) and dump them (again - physical file access is done by the WoW interpreter) to disk.

Can you take an old pre 2.3.0 CP addon and scan again to check this?
If your recipes are present the, CP is to blame.
But it will exclude CP if the Leather-based recipes aren't there neither. It will be a WoW 2.3.0 related problem.

I think it's because the categorization has changed - the items aren't called what they used to. There's a, so far small, thread on the RPGOutfitter forum about it, where also a Tailor is experiencing the same problem. None of the cloth stuff turns up, after the split of categories.
