Installation Problem 500 server error

Yeah, so I have attempted several times to get WOWroster to install but everytime I attempt to access the roster/install.php file I get a 500 server error.

I tryed removing and re-uploading the files several times, changed permissions yadda yadda yadda, but nothing seems to be workin maybe someone out there knows what the heck it is I am doing wrong.

The error log I get from my server is this

Sorry to spam it but I cant make hide nor hair of this stuff

Not a Dev here but I would try to re-upload the roster software.. also you may want to rename the .htaccess, on my host it not let the roster run or install. other then that someone else may have a better idea of your issue

Looks like some overzealous file permission stuff. The main roster directory doesn't need write permission (and shouldn have, by default) but the cache directory and some others do need write permission to operate properly. From the looks of that log, it's likely it'll complain about those if you fix the main roster directory, meaning you won't be able to run roster on this host.

Try the full reupload, set all files readonly, then set the cache directory world writable. If the install still won't show up then, report back, but you'll probably need to contact your host in that case.

I had this earlier today installing for the first time.

I had to create an empty conf.php file and upload it into the directory.
