Postby BreeOge » Wed Jun 25, 2008 11:02 am

I have attached the PVP DEBUG INFO. Bruticus is one of the names it happend on that I captured. Please help with this, this is very annoying.

After looking through the PVPlog2 I found these lines.

"06/29/08 18:19:34: PARTY_KILL, 0x00000000013E6325, Poisonlotus, 0x511, 0x000000000100A157, Bruticus, 0x10548; nil, nil, nil, nil, nil, nil, nil, nil", -- [27]
"06/29/08 18:19:34: Processing death of: Bruticus", -- [28]
"06/29/08 18:19:34: I killed Bruticus (Level 41 Night Elf Druid) at [52,26] in Tanaris (Gadgetzan).", -- [29]
"06/29/08 18:19:34: SPELL_DAMAGE, 0x00000000013E6325, Poisonlotus, 0x511, 0x000000000100A157, Bruticus, 0x10548; 26679, Deadly Throw, 1, 544, 1, nil, nil, nil", -- [30]
"06/29/08 18:19:34: recentDamaged[3]: Bruticus", -- [31]
"06/29/08 18:19:34: SPELL_CAST_SUCCESS, 0xF1300024F4002170, Gadgetzan Bruiser, 0xa48, 0x00000000013E6325, Poisonlotus, 0x511; 12024, Net, 1, nil, nil, nil, nil, nil", -- [32]
"06/29/08 18:19:35: UNIT_DIED, 0x0000000000000000, nil, 0x80000000, 0x000000000100A157, Bruticus, 0x10548; nil, nil, nil, nil, nil, nil, nil, nil", -- [33]
"06/29/08 18:19:35: Processing death of: Bruticus", -- [34]
"06/29/08 18:19:35: I killed Bruticus (Level 41 Night Elf Druid) at [52,26] in Tanaris (Gadgetzan).", -- [35]

It looks to be processing after PARTY_KILL then again after UNIT_DIED... Thus is making 2 logs about 1 kill.

Good debugging
I'm sure bsmorgan will find this quite useful when he reads it

Is he checking the forum anymore? My post is a few weeks old now, and other than you, nobody else has posted. Honestly the PvP aspect of WoW roster is the only reason I use it. Everything else is on the wow armory. Oh well. no biggie, hope support continues for PVPLOG its a great program.

Sorry to have been so long in responding...

Thank you very much for the debug logs as it makes it so much easier to find the bugs! To me, the most interesting part of PvPLog.lua is this line:

["version"] = "2.99.5",

The latest version of PvPLog is 3.0.0 and I think you'll find the double record bug was squished somewhere in the 5 or more versions since 2.99.5.

Try the latest version and see if it doesn't work much better for you!

Regards,

Brad

That was the version from this website. Fresh install of game and everything.. I will re-install it again. BTW it does seem to work for like 1 or 2 kills, then bam its back to dbl record.

I will give ya an update on it..

Update I re-uploaded the new PVP log to check it..

PVPlog2 has

## Interface: 20400
## Title: PvPLog2
## Author: Brad Morgan
## Version: 2.99.0

and PVPLog has

## Interface: 20400
## Title: PvPLog
## Author: Brad Morgan
## Version: 3.0.0

I will give this a go, and hope all works, I had the other PVPLog and PVPLog2 dir set to delete in uniuploader so I hope all my members no longer have the old one. For some reason i guess it didnt feel the need to update this addon *Shrugs*

The code to process PARTY_KILL combat events was removed in 2.99.9 (SVN Revision 31).

The code was fixed to properly remove PARTY_KILL events in 3.0.1. While I removed the code that was specific to PARTY_KILL, I let it fall through an elseif into a section of code that it didn't belong in causing all sorts of unknown havoc!

Please update everyone to 3.0.1 and then let me know if you have any more problems!

Regards,

Brad
