Need More Help

Postby Morwaul » Mon Jul 31, 2006 4:06 am

Is there a Wiki that has a little more info than the url to download uniadmin? I have it installed but I am completely lost as to how to get it to update my addons. I am looking at the Settings management section but most of it looks the same. Is there a simple instruction guide somewhere that tells me what all these variables do or can someone just tell me which variable I need to set to the path of the .zip my addon is in?

Thanks

When you get UniAdmin installed, log into it and look at the help page
uniadmin/help.php

But tell you what, I'll copy it over to the Wiki right now

I am sorry Zanix but I am starting to feel like a complete goob. I have read through the help file (the one from the uniadmin index that you posted in the wiki, Thanks btw.) and I am still totally lost. Could you please help? All the settings I have are below.

Locations of stuff that I think matter
Roster - http://mywww.net/roster/
Uniadmin - http://mywww.net/uniadmin/
Zip Files - http://mywww.net/unidamin/addon_zips/

note: I have 2 zips added in addon management. They are enabled and when I click check I can download them.

Here are my enabled settings.

From Uniadmin:
DOWNLOADAFTERUPLOAD - 1
USERAGENT - UniUploader
AUTOUPLOADONFILECHANGES - 1
SYNCHROAUTOURL - http://mywww.net/uniadmin/interface.php
UUUPDATECHECK - 1
AUTOPATH - 1
PRIMARYURL - http://mywww.net/roster/admin/update.php

From UniUploader:
URL: http://mywww.net/roster/admin/update.php
Synchronization URL: http://mywww.net/uniadmin/interface.php

Once again, thank you for any help.

Need More Help

Postby AnthonyB » Mon Jul 31, 2006 6:05 am

Morwaul - the easiest way to understand how to configure the UniAdmin settings is to first set up UniUploader thru the UU GUI so that it's exactly the way you want it. Then open the UU Setting.ini and you'll see all the variables, with the exact same names as they appear in UniAdmin, with the values you want to copy across into UA.

BTW, your SYNCHROAUTOURL setting in UA from above post is wrong, it should be mywww.net/uniadmin/interface.php

Thanks for the correction AnthonyB. I made the change but it still did not solve my problem. I have UU installed and have verified that it is updating my roster, but it still will not update my addons.

I thought it migh be a file size problem like mentioned in the other post but I searched my server and didn't find a php.ini file anywhere. I found a /etc folder but there are no ini's in it. My biggest .zip is only 45KB so I don't know that it would matter anyway.

I have updated the information in my post above if it helps. I have tried changing stuff, enabling and disabling, etc. all to no avail. I hope I am just missing something and that one of you more knowledgeable folks will be able to help.

Thanks again for any help.
