uniupload setup

Postby Elethil » Thu Jun 25, 2009 7:59 pm

I have a question. User from my guild was trying to setup uinuploader. I guess where you put the url to our roster site it's telling him that it cannot find update.php. I looked at my site and do not see that file on there. Wouldn't the correct upload path be http://yoursite/roster/update.php? Where my roster is under simply roster. I don't understand why I don't see update.php under the root of the roster directory. what's weird is I did a search and my pc found the file but Its not visible. I am showing hidden files. Again been so long since I've set this up and I actually havn't messed with it myself. This is just going by what this user is telling me. Any thoughts?

If you haven't used Roster since before 2.0.0, then I can see why you are confused
All the URLs and links in Roster have changed

Try using this
Code: Select all
http://yoursite/roster/index.php?p=update

Or if your server allows Friendly URLs (look for the setting in RosterCP)
Code: Select all
http://yoursite/roster/update.html
Read the Forum Rules, the WiKi, and Search before posting!

Thanks Zanix,

I figured it out last night. It looked to me like it had changed since last I used it but was having a hard time finding any documentation on it. It's probably out there but I was missing it.

thanks again!

Note that if mod_rewrite is enabled on your server, the old URL will keep working. This is because roster always accepts the 'pretty urls', and due to the way they are parsed update.php, like update.html, maps to index.php?p=update
I <3 /bin/bash
