Guildbank [more than one]

Postby galib » Wed Aug 09, 2006 4:11 am

hey guys, i liked the guild bank feature that wow roster provides, i have set up the roster so it can scan a bank, but i'd love to be able to join the regular guild bank with our zul gurub mule. i am not sure how to join the two banks, even though both of the banks have "guild bank" as their note in the game, it's not picking up both, just one.

i looked through the stuff this site had, just showed how to set up one bank, could i get some help ?

Guildbank [more than one]

I don't see how to configure more than 1 bank on Wiki!
I tried everything from dividing them with , or ; or simple space, putting similarities in the nicknames (like bank or *bank*), no luck.

So please be more specific...

OK, maybe we need to spell it all out a little clearer in the wiki... but I wouldn't have thought it necessary...

Banker Search Field
Banker Search location, what field to search for Banker Text

See how you can define OTHER fields to search on, eg. Guild title? So, to have multiple characters show up in Guild Bank select another field and have all the characters have the same value in that field.

Eg. choose Guild Title and then have all the bank chars titles in game set to something like GuildBank.

Guildbank [more than one]

Postby analyzerx » Sun Aug 13, 2006 9:54 am

AnthonyB, what you say cannot be done in our guild because in the officer's note we put the information about alts. I wouldn't want to rearange the whole guild just to add another char in the guildbank feature.

So, my question is: Is there a way to add more than one guildbank characters using the >Name< of the characters in the Banker Search Field?

Thanks

As of right now, no

You can ADD more text to the officer or public note to designate them as banks
It's as simple as adding some unique text like "imabank", or "[BB]", or "Waffles" or something else

All it needs to be is unique to your bank chars

If you think you can't deviate from just alt info in officer note I assume you're using AltMonitor?
You can simply omit the alt data for that char; AM will, depending on your settings, assign it either main status or mainless alt status. You can also put the bank identifier after the alt data, unless you match both the beginning and the end of the string in the regex.

Alternatively, you could have a seperate guild rank for banks. Or you could put the identifier in the public field.

Thank you for your immediate answers!

We're using the Player Note to store proffesion info and Officer Note to store alt info. So one bank character (which is an alt ofc) in the Officer's note had the info "alt of player" and I didn't want to remove that because then the alts wouldn't be counted correclty in the roster.

I tried adding more info in the Officer's Note (like "alt of player GuildBank") but then the wowroster didn't "catch" that info so it didn't display the bank characters.

But since the bank characters have no profs, I put the "GuildBank" info in their Player note field and wowroster worked smoothly with the relevant setting! :D

Thanks again for your answers! They've been quite helpfull! :)
