Help: RE: Save Settings (Admin Config)

Postby Sticky_ALF » Sat Aug 19, 2006 6:55 am

Greetings.

I will attempt to explain this in detail. I've used the previous version of the roster which all of the settings were done on a file hosted on the FTP.

We've recently switched hosts, and felt it was a good time to update the roster software. So, we did so.

The basic roster is up, but I run into a problem when using Roster Config and clicking on [Save Settings].

When I change some information in the settings and then click [Save Settings] it proceeds to a bank browser page that says the following:

The resource cannot be displayed

The resource you are looking for cannot be opened by your browser.

HTTP Error 406 - Not acceptable

What file or files can I directly edit on the site so I can skip the HTML version of the Config or is there a fix to this issue?

Thanks in advance,

Sticky

Sorry for the edit:

After entering the password and logging in, at the top of the roster an error message is displayed. It reads:

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/cgerling/public_html/alf/roster/admin/config.php on line 300

Update:

We've been able to add the Guild Name and the Server via a SQL query, but I still cannot change settings to the actual roster. I still get the same error although everything actually uploads fine now.

Thanks again.

Doesn't seem to be the case in mine unless I'm terribly missing it.

If it is that easy, I'll be happy actually. lol.

Thanks again in advance,

Looking up the 406 error returns this

http://www.checkupdown.com/status/E406.html

Looks like it is your browser somehow. Dunno how, but it is.

Make sure your not running mod_security, as they might have some odd restrictions being implemented.

I've heard a previous case who asked the host, and the host narrowed it down to a broken restriction in the number of fields POSTed. There's no workaround in that case.

Well, phpmyadmin is usable. Beats manual queries.
