Native Roster DKP AddOn

Postby Mathos » Sat Sep 02, 2006 5:24 pm

Currently in developement is the Roster DKP addon to WoWRoster.
It will be an all-in-one system including a Raid Bank system based on Categorized GuildBank.

I hope to release a Beta on Monday, or at least early next week!

Here is an example of the output (Sofar only the main listing is done)

Here is a story with the features: http://wowroster.net/Forums/viewtopic/p=5170.html#5170

Native Roster DKP AddOn

Postby Mathos » Mon Sep 04, 2006 11:26 pm

I have progressed some, but not enough to release it yet.

Currently Raid-list and Standings list are done. Also the start has been made in the Member details (when you click on the member within the standings list.)

The most important bit, Installation of tables and configuration pages, still has to be done completely.
These are essential to release an Alpha version in my oppinion.

If you still would like the code NOW, let me know and I can make a compilation of files.

Hey Matt, nice to hear from you.

The Modded CT_RaidTracker is indeed required. This allows us (if not more) to copy the XML string from within WoW.

The whole addon that I am building is based on that!

If you want to start tracking your raids, please use the addon Matt mentioned, and start Tracking. All past raids will be parsable into Roster_DKP.

will the new format be allowed?

we use eqdkp modded with dkplog parser. I would greatly like something a little more simpler.

Native Roster DKP AddOn

Postby Neci » Thu Sep 07, 2006 10:32 pm

In the other post I thought it would be released the following monday. I'm really excited about this. I hope I'm not reading this wrong, would a zero sum dkp system work?

Obviously you have never developed applications :P

1st thing I said I might have an early beta available.
2ndly I found some minor bugs which need to be solved
and 3rd, I havent had enough time available to get the beta done.

To answer the other question....not yet but I am planning on it. I "borrowed" a DKP XML parser which is not exactly doing what I need it to do so I am gonna write my own. I will detect the new format with the first variable since that is the start time which is either in UTime for the New format, or Y-m-d H:i in the old format.

Our guild is using it now: http://elune.mysticwoods.nl/soeroster/

Small update :)

Todo list prior to release Beta (With not all views done yet):
* Finish Raid History
* Integrate Raid Bank system based on CatGBank
* Finish Installer Script
* Finish Configuration Screen
* Make Adjustment screen
* Make ItemCache Config Screen
* Make Event Edit screen (in case events are parsed wrongly by either Admin or XML)

Nice to have finished prior to Beta:
* New XML Parser that supports both oldformat 1 as oldformat 0
* Automatic Start/End Time in parser (Dates are already done auto!)
* Finish the remaining views: Raid Details, Boss Progress, Summary, Raid Attendence
* Finish other config stuff to configure Boss Bonusses, Localization Editor (since it is currently enUS only, but it will use enUS if your roster_lang is not present yet)

Questions to community:
* Do we really need raid attendence ? Since all info is already available in other screens
* Are there any specific requirements that are not mentioned in the previously posted feature list?
* Any other views that people might be interested in?

Keep you posted!
Mathos.

Im ready for this baby --- I currently use RTimport with EQdkp and it doesnt have the bonuses we need and it adds them all in as totally seperate raids instead of one.

The interface and the way you can see it calculate for each person is great === but theres no check box or anything for "ontime" and "full raid" and a blank one for boss kills and an additional bonus.

We give a first time boss kill bonus that is far above the normal kill bonus.
So possible some kind of blank that you can add X number and then check per player === RTimport style.

We give
On time Bonus
Hourly
Boss Kill
and First Time boss kill bonus
Full Raid

Hope this makes sense. Would be great if you could make it all work.

Native Roster DKP AddOn

Postby Mathos » Fri Sep 08, 2006 10:28 am

Okay,

Currently, and as I will release it too, it will have the following configured bonusses:

* On-Time Bonus
* Till-End Bonus
* Bonus per Hour
* Bonus for attendence, which can be set to percentage(default)
* Bosskill (Bosses can get default value, though special bosses can be configured to give a higher bonus.)

The Parsing mechanismn is where bonusses are given. This could be extended but at this moment it has to be done at multiple places. If your people get a 1st Time Kill bonus, is that for every type of boss, or just the first boss ever ? If it is the last, you can just modify the trigger to check if the member ever killed a boss, and if he already or not, received an event for a bosskill. Then just check which the first boss was he ever killed, and assign an event to that.

Full Raid is gonna be a toughy. I do not see personally why people are rewarded for that, or do you also mean till-end by this?
