1.1b update not solving install issue

hy,
i proceed a fresh install
clicking install bouton...again and again.... nothin, no DB was created

i use phpmyadmin created "roster_addon_screenshots" DB

addon launch great by nothing are fonctionnal : no upload possibility.. it say nothing,change page as a success but in admin section nothing to approve..

another thing : addon don't understand .jpg or .gif, ONLY .JPG and .GIF
can you change this ?

uploading issue is serverside as for the extention will be changes in the next update i found this to be an issue with linux server where my coding happens ona i386 server

and gan i get a link to your site so i cans ee the issues

every thing looks fine you just needd to login to the admin section with the roster password and aprove the image
if you cannot approve make sure that regestered globals is on on the server

No, DO NOT TURN on register globals for php

register globals is a huge security risk
Ulminia, recode your addon to not have to use register globals in this addon

it is coden to not use regestered globals i am still at a loss as to how some people cannot approve images unless thara re using firefox or somthen other then ie...

ah cool cool i have just devised a way to store info in the roster config database and such to users should be able to change allmost all the settings

Yeah, it's not that hard

When 1.8 is out, you can have your very own config page, the API is very similar

nice thinbgs are looking good though adding alots of new features but getten stuck on some array stuff i should get it here in the next day or so

I really like the idea of this addon and its great to see that you are working with zanix to have it added to roster 1.8 but in the meantime i am still unable to install it even from a clean install. It just wont create the database, im using a linux server with phpadmin and ive tried it using firefox and i.e. but with no joy. Any help or advice on how to get it working?

Ok i've had to add the roster_addon_screenshots table manualy to my database and now im getting an error that reads:
1054: Unknown column 'approve' in 'where clause'
SQL:
SELECT * FROM `roster_addon_screenshots` WHERE `approve` = 'YES' ORDER BY 'order' DESC
File: index.php

any ideas whats going wrong?

Try using this peice of code from the functions.php file, to create/modify the table.

Code: Select all: CREATE TABLE roster_addon_screenshots ( `id` int(11) NOT NULL auto_increment, `file` varchar(255) NOT NULL, `caption` varchar(255) NOT NULL, `ext` varchar(255) NOT NULL, `catagory` varchar(255) NOT NULL, `approve` varchar(3) NOT NULL, PRIMARY KEY (`id`) )

Thanks ill give that a go as i missed off the last two fields 'catagory' and 'approve' as i took the information from the sql text file and not the from the functions.php file.

ok i've done that but i've notcied that the function.php file i have is looking for a table called ROSTER_SCREENTABLE and not roster_addon_screenshots, should i change the name of my table or replace ROSTER_SCREENTABLE with roster_addon_screenshots within the function.php? the error im now getting reads:
