I started having a problem with item stats recently. Some things are working such as a Cauldron of Major Frost Protection, but if i try to link pretty much anything else it just gives a link pointing to the item stats cache on the website and the item will have the right icon but the wrong tooltip. If I try to add Thrash Blade it shows up in the cache as a small brilliant shard. Any idea what could be causing this? Is there any info I can post that might be helpful?

As i said the cauldrons in this post work fine but the trash blade and anything else I try won't work right.

I had the same issue, Allakazam and Thott appear to have changed something. I didn't figure out what as I had a completely blank DB table to populate. I patched it with the wowhead tooltips listed on the eqdkp forums, not a permanent solution.
T4 tokens always seem to show up as the first item linked off the page.
Ie the Shammy, pally, rogue token pulls up the 1st item, Cyclone something or other.
So I suspect that the fact the tokens info appears to be embedded is throwing it a doozy.

Any update on this. It seems to affect all of the sites that are checked. I am no longer getting any good item stats.

I recommend you don't clear your cache, or you will be hosed.

Ok, here is my itemstats folder. The usual caveats apply if you use this file, mainly don't blame me I told you it was rubbish

things to bear in mind...
1) you need to change your theme's itemstats css to point to the wowhead one..

this will probably be located in THEMEFOLDER/templates/header.html for most of you.

2) I still use roster 1.7.3 and I have "fixed" it to look for image files based on that icon naming
convention, to it uses the capitalization as found on the wowhead site in the raw. eg INV_Misc_Item33 or something like that.

3) I have set this in the config_itemstats to only point to wowhead, as I remember reading about some incompatibilities with other sites. This means that you will need to update all your current items, someone has already wittem a script for this and once you have logged onto your site use the following url...

this may take some time as it gets all of your current DB and updates it to the prettier wowhead style.

I'm sure zanix or one of the other real developers will come up with something better, this is just for the impatient amongst us.
If you decide to use this please test it on a non critical site 1st as it may set your parents on fire, turn your dog into a cat or something equally as evil....

Edit: Forgot to mention you might want to remove the updateallitems.php after using it as there is no checking done, I couldn't be bothered doing it as its a 1st thing.
AND click to update doesn't work properly.. it updates the DB but throws an error, not a big issue on my site so again havent got around to fixing it.

What do i need to set the links to for item stats to get the images from wowhead with the above fix. the items are showing correctly but theres no icons

Dreadan, Just point the it (?conf.php?) to your wowrosterdf images folder if you are using 1.7.3 with the exception of cauldrons all the icons should be there.
