DF Guild Application w/ Recruitment Block

Postby petrakid » Sat Jul 07, 2007 8:22 am

Hey guys I'd like to get a copy of this module. I'm building my guilds new DF website, as I LOVE DF, and this would be a great thing to have. If there's bugs still, no prob, I can help work them out. If you could send me a zip file in an PM, i'd appreciate it, or email me.

Thanks!

DF Guild Application w/ Recruitment Block

Hey Razac sorry I have not been able to help you much on finishing up this project but wanted to say you are doing a good job. From here we should really try to say rebuild this module using the functions that DF provides and start on templating this module. Here is a link to the classes and functions for df and df forms. We also need to find the way to check if the user is registered to the site and if not use the data given to register the user either once added to roster using a update hook or by just clicking the approve button.

Just a quick couple of questions.

1. Will this module run on DF and CPG-BB, or do I need to convert to forumspro?

2. Is there a version of forumspro that will work without errors on DF 9.1.2.1?

Thanks in advance, I haven't seen anything concrete in the forums here or at myndworx that would answer these.

Forums Pro 2.0.0.1 works just fine in DF 9.1.2.1
In fact, those are the version numbers we use currently here at wowroster.net

DF Guild Application w/ Recruitment Block

Postby Razac » Fri Jul 13, 2007 7:25 pm

Sckauter did ya fix the security code problem??

That screen is the DF Admin login screen. It has nothing to do with the Application module. The application module does not call any DF Files.

Looks from the image that GD is off or something

small change/alteration request

In the recrument settings is the: Set your "about" message for the recruitment page - Empty string to supress

This can't be a link and the field is somewhat limited to be a text block, this should likely be a multi-line textblock with bbCode to be able to add a detailed description of the basics of the guild and what type of guild it is.

Anaxent wrote:so should any of this have the prefix of nuke? Shouldn't it all use the prefix of df which by default is cms_

Code: Select all

0.001 - LINE 35: UPDATE nuke_stats_hour SET hits=hits+1 WHERE (year='2007') AND (month='06') AND (date='29') AND (hour='08')
modules/Application/appconfig.php

0.0006 - LINE 55: SELECT guild_name FROM nuke_wowrosterdf_roster_guild
0.0012 - LINE 67: SELECT * FROM nuke_recruitment
modules/Recruitment_Settings/index.php
0.0009 - LINE 30: SELECT * FROM nuke_recruitment

I prefer to use $prefix incase someone upgraded from some other CMS that doesn't use cms_ as the prefix (like phpnuke)

Whenever people post a contracted word (it's, won't, and the like) in their comments on why they left their former guild it causes an SQL error. This doesn't happen on the forums, so what code do I need to add, and where do I add it, to prevent php from parsing the ' marks improperly in that field?
