[Alpha] RosterDF 2.0

Postby Anaxent » Sat Apr 19, 2008 5:48 am

Hey guys I just wanted to let you all know that I am still working on porting Roster 2.0 to DF and for the most part it is working pretty well, but requires manual labor to do the initial install right now. I do have RosterDF 2.0 in its alpha stages and have sent a few df users a copy of the alpha release. Below are the instructions right now on how to get RosterDF 2.0 Alpha working in DF if this is something that you feel you can handle let me know and I will let you help finish this project.

As of right now there is no installer for this version of RosterDF 2.0. Zanix (when he has the time) is going to be building the df installer trying to use the roster sql data. For now to do the install you will need to have Roster 2.0 beta already installed somewhere so you can make a database dump of all the data.

1.) Roster 2.0 Beta DB dump
2.) Append your DF db prefix all data dumped (generally cms_)
3.) Upload the contents of the tar file into your modules directory of DF
4.) Import your Roster 2.0 beta DB dump into your DF db
5.) Active the RosterDF module with in the DF module admin section
6.) Login to the RosterDF admin control panel and edit all of your file paths for images and such may need to do it via phpmyadmin (you may use http://www.secret-order.us/svn/Interface/ for your interface images until RosterDF releases into beta which is when I can make sure install and upgrades work)
7.) While in the RosterDF admin control panel change the default theme to RosterDF theme
8.) Let me know how things went and are going for you.

When this is in beta the installer will work like any other module install or maybe take on some of the features of ForumsPro install(install wizard/form like roster now) allowing the admin to set some of the after roster install stuff like default guild, addons to be installed, upload the first time etc...

Here is a link to my svn copy of RosterDF 2.0 Alpha
http://www.cwells.net/rosterdf.html

Which after viewing it you will see all of roster works just like it is suppose to and not with in an iFrame. I have been able to get all of roster and most of rosters new addons to function with no edits the only addon I am having troubles with is armorysync while in ajax mode. I am going to be building a theme for the RosterDF 2.0 that will look just like roster and one that will/should take on the look of the DF theme.

Things to get done before a beta release

Build a DF installer which can uninstall and upgrade RosterDF
RosterDF database class (will fix the php errors at the bottom of the page)
Fix the issue with the &p needed in the url when leo link is not active
Fix theme to use all of Rosters original style

What I would like to also have done

DFauth for RosterDF
Build a new theme that looks like the DF theme

Edit: 04/24/08
version: WoWRoster v1.9.9.1758

Ok I have repackaged RosterDF with the new svn updates. The new package name is RosterDF_Package.tar.gz and is stored in the same location as it was before please go ahead and download this package. In side the package I have redone the filling layout so that it includes modules and blocks there for when you upload this it will be uploaded into the root of df. The upgrade should go fine as well as it is currently using the Roster upgrade system rather than DF way. Please let me know if you have any troubles which this release of RosterDF 2.0 Alpha

Great work Anaxent, works a treat...
Note to people that want to use it, No.7 is very important if you use the css menu ... not that I spent ages trying to fix something that wasn't broken .. honest :p

yay *does happy dance*
sorry kinda excited about this

oh and a quick tip i wouldn't so much change the prefix on your DB dump as add to it, so it reads cms_roster_ that way it keeps the tables together (trust me on this)

[Alpha] RosterDF 2.0

Postby petrakid » Tue Apr 22, 2008 12:04 am

I'm just having some minor issues with the Alpha Roster. Some of the icons for various menu items are missing, for one. Some are there, some aren't.

Also there seems to be some trouble with a few of the addons - but I'm not too concerned about that. Armory sync doesn't work - it looks like it's going to, but then a windows popup comes up.....I sent you admin info for our website, check it out for yourself. If there's anything else you need from me (ftp access or mysql access) let me know. It IS working, and it looks great! It's just a few things that are causing issues.

Ajax mode for armorysync is known not to work in RosterDF 2.0

This is stated in the last paragraph in Anaxent's post

For the images, make sure you have the interface image pack for Roster 2.0 found in "the BETA Files" forum

Ok not sure what is going on here. (I R OLD MAN)
1.) when I click on BDL Roster Beta in the Community part of the main menu it sends me here:
http://www.bronzedragonlords.com/index.php?name=rosterdf
of course I get the blank page.
NOW I go here:
http://www.bronzedragonlords.com/index.php?name=rosterdf&p

(Please note the extra 2 characters at the end) it comes up.

I am doing a fresh intall for the thrid time today(Monday 21.) So I will have it back up this evening and see if it still does it.
I did send a tell to Anaxent about it but I figured I would put it out here to see if anyone else has the same problem.
I am not useing LEO(It is turned off) as you can see.

Arkel.. I think I know the issue here... there is a conf.php file which will be removed once in beta, but until then you will need to edit this file to make the connection to your Dragonflycms database.

[Alpha] RosterDF 2.0

Postby Anaxent » Tue Apr 22, 2008 9:00 am

Heyy guys so I have built a new header.php file for RosterDF 2.0 Alpha which will over come any item_stats issues since including 2 versions of overlib.js will mess up all of your tooltips.

For all that currently have a copy of RosterDF 2.0 Alpha please visit our pastebin for the code

http://www.wowroster.net/pastebin/index.php?show=303

This code is for header.php which is located in
<df_root>/modules/rosterdf/header.php

Please update this file with the new header.php code asap.

I will be working on getting the RosterDF svn updated this weekend and then allowing access to the svn to those, when ready to make sure we are all on the same page.

Ah, I forgot all about the interface images. That should fix all those issues.

I'll keep updating the addons as updates are available. One of the reasons I LOVE roster 2.0 is the updating features - it makes life a lot easier!

Ya I'm getting the same error - a popup box comes up when it's loading pages that says

Code: Select all
overlib 4.10 or later is required for HideForm plugin

This is after updating header.php with the new code.
