PHP-Fusion Integration

You could do a HTTP Refferer check to see if your users are opening the wowroster pages from within php fusion. Since the page wrapper mod uses an iframe the fusion variables comming from maincore.php will not be loaded, so other common methods are to be used. I think adding this code will prevent users from direct linking to wowroster and bypassing any other useful or important messages from the main fusion site. Like... forcing them to browse through the site to get to the roster pages.

Still untested, but its an if statement that will be inserted in all wow roster pages... could work ... hopefully.

WOW 4 months and no posts. Seems only about 6 people are interested in this. PHP-Fusion seems not to have enough popularity to draw attention to this. Might as well scrap the PHP-Fusion website all together as this is a problem that I find everywhere I go. It is almost unheard of and support is almost non-existent everywhere.

PHP-Fusion Integration

Postby mdjansen » Wed May 23, 2007 1:04 pm

I made an effort to integrate roster with php fusion using php code.
It is real easy!

1. Make sure you have a theme with width at least 1100 pixels
2. I placed roster in a subfolder on my site: /roster
3. I integrated the php fusion maincore, header & footer like this:

a. in file: roster_header.tpl I added the following lines:
line 20:
Code: Select all
require_once "../maincore.php";

line 21:
Code: Select all
require_once "../subheader.php";

b. in file: roster_footer.tpl I added the following line:
line 25:
Code: Select all
require_once "../footer_r.php";

Hope this will help you guys!

look at my site for example:

I also used the realm status from roster as a side panel on the main php fusion site. Looks cool, very easy.

Just make a new side Panel with the following code:
Code: Select all
openside("Ghostlands Realm Status");
print '<center><img alt="WoW Server Status" src="http://[domain name]/roster/realmstatus.php"></center><br>';
closeside();

Make sure u use a full domain name in your url, not relative!

Look at my site for example:

Well the reason why this has been dead for 4 months is that... some of us felt ok with the solution provided by using the wrapper mod available at open-beta site.

I no longer have so much free time to pursue this port, and there is not a real need for user-database joining... there is no user interaction with logins for the roster, so there is no real need to join two user bases together... php-raid would need that kind of port and no one is using that... the thing is the amount of ppl using wowroster AND php-fusion is not as big as the amount using PHP-Fusion alone...

I am an admin for the Spanish Support Site for PHP-Fusion (www.php-fusion.es), and I tell you... the support PHP-Fusion gives out is first class. I tried using mambo, dragonfly, wordpress, website baker... none of those worked out for me and I ended up going back to php-fusion.

I have recently tried Dragonfly once more, and I am using the roster released for it and it certainly works ok, but what it does is that it embeds the admin sections of dragonfly and roster... nothing we REALLY need in there, but that convenience is awesome anyway, because its a lot less going around pressing links from here to there.

Dragonfly is good overall... but I feel it lacks quality themes... most of the themes i have seen are a bit lame... at least lame compared to the one I am using and have modded to be one of the best WoW themes around. I take pride in that hehe.

If you think there is a WoW theme for Dragonfly that goes close to (www.dclans.com) that one, please let me know... because What I found for Dragonfly (hh.dclans.com) is not so cool at all... (and it obviously needs some tuning).

easy, create the personalized web page with:

<iframe src="http://guild.xlphp.net/roster/" style=" border-width:0 " width="900" height="650" frameborder="0"></iframe>

only this.. ^^

nop,

only instal de roster in separated folder, ex.: "roster"
in adm panel > Content Admin > Custom Pages, create a new web page with the code (Page Content) :
Code: Select all
<iframe src="http://guild.xlphp.net/roster/" style=" border-width:0 " width="900" height="650" frameborder="0"></iframe>

link the new page in menu
only this

this is not integration, but works fine
