Mathos, how will this handle different "types" of DKP systems?
For example:

guild A wants a Zero-sum DKP
guild B wants a Spend-all DKP
guild C wants a Spend-enough DKP
guild D wants a Probabilistic DKP
guild E wants a Effective DKP

Maybe the only way to make the type of DKP system chooseable is to make the addon have some sort of plugin system? A plugin would have some core code that would decide what to do with certain points or attendance or elegibility or whatever during certain events.

As an author of my own guildsite addon using the Spend-all DKP system, I noticed none or very few guildsite admins actually used it because it wasn't the type of DKP system their guilds wanted.

The DKP system will support the following:
  • Zerosum DKP (in two ways, Value/NumberOfPlayers, and Value/NumberOfPlayers-1 in which the looter will not get the + value)
  • Bonus on BossKill's
  • On-Time award
  • Till-End award
  • Attendence (either full bonus per raid, or percentage based)
  • Full Hour based


This will be it.
Designing a system that will be modular will be too complex, as the calculations are hard enough with the provided data.

Either people will love the system, or they love it but it does not fit their particular needs.
Either way, The above will be in the first beta and suggestions are naturally welcome, but this is one big baby and it has a serious amounts of variables to think about.

Perhaps we can ask the community what they want, but based on the replies I got during the first post of this addon pre-pre-alpha, I think that the above will fit the needs of 90%.

Any idea when a beta will be available? My guild (newly merged) is looking to incorporate this into our current site, and I'd rather not have to use something temporary in the meantime. Let me know! Thanks for all of your hard work!

You can monitor the progress on the project page. Before all of the high prio components are finished, no beta will be released.

Okay peeps,

I am running into some difficulties here.
Some guilds I know, are using nDKP and oDKP to get DKP bidding done.
Now this data is a bit .... so so inside the lua file. If anyone knows a very good bidding addon that stores values in a nice manner into a lua or xml or whatever, I wanna hear about it.

Also I am building (designing still) an In-game DKP list.
Are there any specific requirements for that at all ?

Other than that the system is slowly progressing. I have spend a lot of time on the parsing bit for CTRT data, so that is quite stable atm.

I will keep you all posted!

I have loaded those.....problem is that the bidder interface (for the users) is causing some error messages. Maybe I have to load a more stable version but those definately have my attention.

I am a great supporter for 'Ace'd addons as that framework is much better for lag prevention :)

Yeah it is going well, though have been busy again in "RL" so havent had much time to dev lately.....but the framework is finished.
Now just pray that CTRT Modded will work in the new patch tomorrow :P

Looking forward to this, our guild is in the process of changing dkp system for the expansion and I'd hoped to have at least been able to test this addon before next month ;)

About CTRT, it currently doesn't work at all with patch 2.0, so let's now pray that the author (or anyone else) will be able to make it work again... :)

I had one other question about the importing process: the modded raid-tracker can be configured to ask the "dkp-price" of an item when it's looted (or assigned). We use a bid-based system, so no fixed item prices. Will this addon be able to use the prices saved in the raid profile?
