DF Guild Application w/ Recruitment Block

Postby gyrantol » Sun Jun 17, 2007 7:45 pm

Question....

I know at the moment we can't get the program to automatically create an cms account at the same time. I was wondering wether we could add a command to either the registration form to run the user registration on the cms or to the user registration so once they register it automatically runs the request form?

I hope that makes sense :)

ah, found some more issues after testing the Post in the forum:

--> "Yes" and "No" are not translated (in the form, they are. but not in the Post)
--> Between the TC Revered line and the CoT revered line is an empty line

--> at the end of the post is a "0", dont know where that comes from.

Okie first im confused on some things.

The last file I uplaoded was a full structure ZIP file that contained all the images. I just opend it and the path for the images is "<img src=\"modules/Application/img/"

So im not sure why the mention to package as a fully structured zip or why you would see images/class_images/ as a path.

Perhaps you are not downloading the right one... I dunno

Deeo. I cant figure out yet why the java keeps inserting another bullet point. it wasnt a mjor issue so I have left that to the end to figure out..
All your other requests hve been fixed.

Also the text to the admin page is in the language file as. It doest say admin but you can change that
define('_VIEW_APPS','View Applications');

Zime zones. please sned me a list of any time - zone you want added. there are so many.

Fox. im unsure where that came from when you get your server back I will take a tlook. Everything wokred when I submitted the test applicant after I fixed it last time.

Im looking into where that 0 is coming from I dont see anythign there to echo it. will look furhter

Need to fix the dependancy to the roster realm and guild etc then i will upload new version with the fixes

DF Guild Application w/ Recruitment Block

gryantol..

The problem I see with sending them to the application once registering is that some users may already be guild members but are just lazy to sign up.. I wouldnt wan to send everytone there automaticlly.

The problem I face is that when a user fills out the application they enter there characters name (In theory) so Long as its only users fromthe same realm there should not be duplicates. however if they dont use there char name or they are on a different realm then a duplicate may arise.

It will of course be checked against all registered user names as a double cant be made.. I have to make it check that 1st and if it fails send them back to the application form. :)

do able just working onthe check right now.

Fox also mentioned maybe a function that will auto fill some values from the Armory itself. The user woould select the realm and there charname and it would fill values for them.

I am looking into that as well

I know when I was signed in on my site it auto fills in the charactor name with my user name which is good. I make my all the users register using their character names anyway :)

Makes it easier to know who is posting what :P

hi razac,

the problem with the admin section is, that i cant find it, even the "View applications" is not available.
i could view the page with the manual path "URL/index.php?name=Application&file=admin" but didnt find the link.

the 0 is only displayed if i use the "anonymous"-User.

Link to example:

Deeo,

in the recruitment settings have you selected a group to see the admin pages?

If not Create a group and call it Officers or what ever. then in the settings select that group from the drop down menu.

all users in this group will see the admin selections inthe block.

Im gonna add the same code to the recruit screen in case ppl dont have the block running.

AAH! k, Thanks!

Translation was a little trickyand inaccurate. Ill fix that.

it was good, that i had a look at it. Found some more little translation issues with "yes" and "No" (it is translated in the language file to "Ja" and "Nein")

--> in the Viewing application mode "Attunements" and "Keys TBC" and "Reputation TBC" "Yes" and "No" are used instead of the Translation.

found another little thing:

--> the Headline of "Attunements" and "is there anything ... what was not mentioned above?" have other syles.

For some reason the zip that you posted Razac is missing the modules folder. In the zip structure application and recruitment_settings are on the same level as the block and language folders.

The check for roster. Is that for standalone roster or rosterDF?

Does this require rosterDF for the recruitment block and such to work?

v2.3 wont. it will check if roster is installed stand alone or not I thinks..

if not installed it will have a place to enter the realm and guild name in the settings..

nope Roster will not be a dependancy

DF Guild Application w/ Recruitment Block

Postby Razac » Wed Jun 20, 2007 9:41 pm

okie well I hot a snag on the roster check.. any help is appreciated

Here is what I have

Code: Select all
if ( !defined('ROSTER_INSTALLED') )
{
   global $db, $prefix;
       $result = $db->sql_query("SELECT guild_name, server FROM ".$prefix."_recruitment");
       while ($row = $db->sql_fetchrow($result)) {
        $guildname  = $row['guild_name'];
      $REALM = $row['server'];

       }
       $db->sql_freeresult($result);
      $define_me = "Roster is Not defined";

}
else
{
     global $db, $prefix;
       $result = $db->sql_query("SELECT server FROM ".$prefix."_wowrosterdf_roster_guild");
       while ($row = $db->sql_fetchrow($result)) {
           $REALM = $row['server'];

       }
       $db->sql_freeresult($result);
       $define_me = "Roster is defined";

//Set guild name
   global $db, $prefix;
       $result = $db->sql_query("SELECT guild_name FROM ".$prefix."_wowrosterdf_roster_guild");
       while ($row = $db->sql_fetchrow($result)) {
        $guildname  = $row['guild_name'];

       }
       $db->sql_freeresult($result);
}

$define_me is just a temp variable I am passing to make sure I get the right results.

I have RosterDF Installed but I keep getting the Roster is not defined result on this.

Does this roster defined check only work within Roster?

Okie so some digging indicates that ROSTER_INSTALLED is not defined

I found this out by running
Code: Select all
print_r(get_defined_constants(true));

I did not display ROSTER_INSTALLED IN THERE AT ALL.

in the appconfig of the recruitment module I added

Code: Select all
define('ROSTER_INSTALLED', true);

I then Ran the get_defined_constants again and now I see

[ROSTER_INSTALLED] => 1

So my question is why isnt it getting defined by the conf.php of roster.

Perhaps I should do a check if that file exists. then simply include it if it does. that would then in thory define the constant.

I probably just answered my own question there

Okie I think I have finally finished v2.3

It will check for WoWRosterDF not the standalone version.

Since this is a DF module you should be runningthe DF Roster. only makes snece to me.

You will need to run the update in the modules admin for this module.

These are for the 2 new entries in the recruitment table

`guild_name` varchar(255) NOT NULL default '',
`server` varchar(255) NOT NULL default ''",

Deoo there are 2 new translations

define('_GUILD_NAME','Guild Name: ');
define('_REALM_NAME','Realm Name: ');
Attachments
recruitment_module_v2.3.zip
2.3 has some bug fixes as well as 2 new DB tables.

I have made it now check if WoWRosterDF is installed and if it is not it will have a place to set Realm name (dropdown) and Guild name
